Sephora+Pantone Universe Color of the Year

This year, Sephora, along with Pantone Universe partnered up to combine the best of both worlds, makeup + color =  Color of the Year Make Up collection. The color for this year, 2012 is Tangerine Tango. I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I've been wanting to do this review sooner, however my schedule has been hectic lately.

The packaging is stunning! The Color of the Year highly influences the packaging! It has a very clean, and modern look!

This set is the Color of the Year Collector's Edition. It comes with one eye liner in "Tangerine Tango Twist", the eye shadow quad, the prisma chrome blush, blush duo, lipstick in "Tangerine Tango Cream", and lipgloss in "Tangerine Tango Luminous".

The eye shadow quad, and blush duo packaging reminds me very much of Inglot Palettes. The tops are frosty and each corner has a magnet to close the palette.

The lipstick color is like a reddish, orangy color. Very bright, and pigmented. It is easy to apply and is creamy. Again, the packaging and design is consistent throughout. The lipstick has a beveled texture around the lipstick as you can see on the picture. Also, there is some magnet around the product since you can feel the lipstick cover seals shut, just like a magnet pulling. Good quality.

This eyeliner is pigmented and creamy. This is a dark orange color. The eyeliner is easy to apply on my eyes.

This gloss is not sticky. This is a shimmery, orangy gloss. This is a sheer color of this orange, perfect to top off your lips, after putting some of the Color of the Year Lipstick.

Another blush in this collection, however there is some texture involved in this version. This is the packaging of this product.

It comes with a mirror. The blush itself is Prisma Chrome, which Sephora currently has a line for its eyeshadow collection. The texture is a circular wave, and it combines baked, cream and powdery formulas to create this Prisma effect. This color is Blush Apricot Brandy, it is a bit shimmery, so I suggest if you have oily skin to either use it very lightly, or use it as a highlight. Anyone can use this as a highlight, which I would use this more as that, than a blush. I love the way it feels and glides on my face.

Now my conclusion of this collection is that I really think it is worth it! The cost was $68.00, however if you buy these things seperately, it will cost much more. The products were great quality, and the packaging was also excellent, so to have the best of product quality and great packaging at the same time is very rare. I find that this is the opportunity to check it out if you are really into make up or you are a beginner. If you are interested in the collection you may order it online at, www.sephora.com or you may visit your local one.
